To better assist you, we have compiled a section of resources for members going out on medical leave.

PROVIDING NOTICE TO THE CARRIER

STEPS FOR RECEIVING RRB SICKNESS BENEFITS

Create a myRRB account in order to file your claims online.

Complete & File Form SI-1a with the RRB

RRB must receive this form within 10 days of the first date you wish to claim - make sure it is dated on or after your first day on medical leave.​​​

Have your medical provider fill out the Statement of Sickness Form SI-1b.

Return both forms to either RRB Field Office listed below via mail, fax, or drop off.

Create an online account with The Hartford, our supplemental sickness provider.

File a sick pay claim through their online portal.​

Once your RRB paperwork is submitted & accepted (view status of your forms on myRRB under "View My RUIA Account"), you can file your sickness claims every 14 days online via myRRB. The Hartford will issue you additional payment once they receive notice the RRB has issued payment.
